Doron’s Story

Doron’s love for tailoring began when he was just a child, fascinated by the art of sewing. At 16, he started his formal training, learning the ins and outs of tailoring from seasoned professionals. His journey took him to London, where he apprenticed at Kilgour on Saville Row, one of the world’s most respected tailoring houses. There, Doron mastered everything from drafting patterns to textile science and customer service. After returning to South Africa, Doron founded Custom Thread, bringing his unique blend of traditional skills and modern sensibilities to Johannesburg.
